CHENNAI: An 19-year-old girl created a flutter in a family court in the city by swooning inside the court hall, when she came there for counselling.It was alleged that the girl consumed poison before entering the court hall in the morning and fainted within few minutes. She was rushed to the Governmetn General Hospital, where she was being provided necessary treatment.Roobini, a native of Tiruvallur got married to M Velu of Anna Ngar West in September last year. Within seven months, Velu filed a petition before the II Additional Family Court for declaration of the marriage as null and void.He alleged in his petition that there was no sexual relationship between him and his wife from day one. Roobini deliberately avoided intimacy with him. She avoided him all along under various premises including health condition. Alleging that she was unfit to lead a happy married life and that she had cheated him, Velu moved the court for divorce. The presiding officer Manjula called them for counselling today.
