BANGALORE: After the alleged irregularities and multi-crore scam in three constituencies, Chickpet MLA Dr Hemachandra Sagar has written a letter to the BBMP commissioner on irregularities that ‘might’ have occurred in his constituency. In the letter, (a copy with Express), the MLA stated that he had earlier written similar letters thrice, one in 2010, and two this year, requesting the commissioner to release funds for the completed work in his constituency after the Technical and Vigilance Cell under the Commissioner (TVCC) approved the project.Letter further stated that the commissioner has not given any information to the MLA in this regard. Also, at present the MLA was receiving complaints from public on fund release without any work being comepleted. MLA also requested the commissioner to give a written copy on the action taken. When contacted, Dr Hemachandra Sagar, said that his constituency should be ‘clean’ from such scams. “I have been writing to the commissioner for the past one year but so far I have not received any reply,” he said. The letter seems significant as it has come after the BMTF Inspector General of Police, R P Sharma recently clarified that the investigation will not be restricted to Rajarajeshwarinagar, Gandhinagar and Malleswaram constituencies. The probe will also include other areas.
