Police claim it was a natural death as no injury marks were found on her body.
New Delhi: A 53-year-old French woman was found dead inside her accommodation in an ashram in New Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
Marie Robert Vanerik, who arrived in India on July 17, was found dead on Monday morning at Aurobindo Ashram in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar when the caretaker of the ashram noticed a stench emanating from her room locked from inside.
Police broke open the lock and found her decomposed body lying in the bathroom, said a police officer.
Police claim it was a natural death as no injury marks were found on her body.
She was associated with Aurobindo Ashram for the last 25 years and was a frequent visitor.
