BANGALORE: In three separate incidents, four persons including two engineering students were robbed of their vehicles and other valuables in Jnanabharathi police station limits on Friday night.A Harish (33), a businessman, who is a resident of Sharada Colony in Basaveshwaranagara and owner of a wedding hall, was robbed of his car and a gold chain worth Rs 7 lakh at ITI Layout on Mallatthahalli Main Road.According to the police, Harish had gone to ITI Layout to visit a friend at around 11.15pm.He parked his car and when he was walking towards the house, a gang of three men came in a car and threatened him with a knife.They snatched his car key and his 35 gram gold chain and sped away.Later, the victim lodged a case with Jnanabharathi police.In another incident, two BE students were robbed of their bikes and a silver chain worth Rs 1.39 lakh at Srigandha Kaval. B M Rakshith and Harshith, both residents of Health City near Srigandha Kaval are students of an engineering college in Kengeri.According to the police, Rakshith had gone to a chemist store and was returning home on his bike.When he came near Srigandha Kaval’s Sixth Main Third Cross, he saw his friend Harshith coming on his bike. They stopped their vehicles and were chatting with each other when three men came on a bike and on the pretext of asking for directions they threatened the duo and escaped with their bikes and 35 grams of silver chain, the police said.Jnanabharathi police have registered the cases in connection with these incidents and are investigating.In the third such incident, Amit Kumar Sourabh (24), a resident of R T Nagar second block, was robbed of his mobile phone worth Rs 10,000.Amit was speaking on his phone in front of his house at around 11pm on Friday when two men came walking towards him and robbed him at knife point before fleeing from there.A case has been registered in R T Nagar police station in this regard.
