Former UK PMs Tony Blair, Boris Johnson Arrive In Mumbai For Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant Wedding

Former UK prime ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson have arrived in Mumbai to attend the grand wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant. The wedding is set to take place at the Jio World Convention Centre today.

Among the early arrivals, American reality TV icons Kim and Khloe Kardashian were seen at a private airport in Mumbai late Thursday night.

Samsung CEO Han Jong Hee also touched down in the city, to partake in the three-day celebration starting today.

Boris Johnson made a striking entrance at Kalina airport. He waved at the photographers before heading off in his car, dressed in a printed shirt and trousers. Han Jong Hee was similarly spotted.

The Anant Ambani wedding is graced by notable attendees, including former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon with his spouse Yoo Soon-taek.

Futurist Peter Diamandis, artist Jeff Koons, self-help guru Jay Shetty, former US Secretary of State John Kerry and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper are all expected to join in the celebrations.

The nuptials will be held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, followed by dinner receptions over the next few days.

Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding celebrations began in Jamnagar in March, where they hosted more than thousand guests for three days. Apart from Diljit Dosanjh and Arijit Singh, pop icon Rihanna had performed at the event. As July arrived, the festivities continued with traditional pre-wedding rituals. One such ceremony was the Mameru-Mausulu, where the bride’s maternal uncles shower her with gifts, clothes, and jewelry, symbolising their blessings and wishes for the new chapter in her life.

Following this, Anant Ambani’s grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, hosted a dandiya night in Mumbai, bringing family and friends together. An extravagant sangeet night was also held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, where pop sensation Justin Bieber performed for the couple, adding a touch of international glamour to the event. The night also featured performances by Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, alongside heartfelt performances by members of the Ambani family.
