KOLAR: About 64 acres and 33 guntas of land in Hosadya village of Bairaganapalli hobli of Srinivasapur taluk, which was allegedly encroached, was taken back into possession by the forest department here on Monday.According to Assistant Conservator of Forests Puttanna, nearly 121 acres of land in Dinkalagunta forest area of Srinivasapur taluk was allegedly encroached by many, including former Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar.“The court granted one month for the eviction. The said land, in surveys No 1 and 2 of Hosadya village, was acquired again by the forest department as per the court’s direction on Monday. The operation will continue on Tuesday too.” Ramesh Kumar was unavailable for comment.
