Update 3: Facebook restored after a brief outage that affected users globally
Update 2: (2:04 PM IST) Facebook services are now back to normal.
Update 1: (1:55 PM IST) Access to Facebook now appears to be erratic.
New Delhi: Facebook appears to have gone down for a wide number of users across the globe. Users can't log in to the social networking site. On logging in to Facebook.com, a message appears that reads: "Sorry, something went wrong. We are working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."
There is a "Go Back" button underneath this message that redirects users to the log in page, but when you try to log in again it shows the same message. The problem is not limited to the web app, even the Facebook app for Android is unable to load news feed.
If tweets are an indicator, this Facebook outage appears to have impacted many countries globally.
Even the Facebook Developers Platform Live Status page is inaccessible at the time of posting this.
