Excise jeep set afire

A jeep belonging to the Excise Department was gutted by unidentified persons on Friday night.

The jeep was parked on the premises of the Excise Range office.  The incident occurred at 12.15 am, the police said.  The two security personnel, who were on duty, doused the fire.

The Excise officials suspect that the reason behind the attack is the recent raids to nab the narcotic gangs.

The experts from the Police Department have collected some evidence from the site.
