KOZHIKODE: The e-mail snooping controversy, which had hit the headlines over the past couple of weeks, is a closed chapter as far as the Congress is concerned, spokesperson M M Hassan said here at a press conference on Saturday. He said that the technology available today meant that it was possible to access any email account easily. The government had not leaked anybody’s email and all the controversies surrounding the alleged leaks were needless, he added. Regarding the Vakkom Committee report probing the off-colour performance of the Congress in the last Assembly elections, he said that it was the prerogative of the KPCC to implement the recommendations in the report. He also reacted to Congress MLA K Achuthan’s comments that failure to implement the report would be harmful for the Congress, saying that he had the right to express his opinion but the final decision regarding the report was up to the KPCC.
