BANGALORE: “In the next one-and-half-years, the state government will create five lakh job opportunities in the state” said Labour Minister B N Bacche Gowda.He was speaking after launching a website of ‘Edu-Tech Japan Mela 2012’ here on Wednesday. Addressing IT students from rural areas, he said, “We are exploring possibilities to provide training to rural IT and Diploma students through KASSIA, FICCI, FKCCI and others. We are also looking into setting up ITIs and Modular Employable Skill Centres at all taluks in the state.”The mela is dedicated to students of IT, Diploma and Engineering and is scheduled to be held from March 1-5 at the Palace Grounds. The mela will exhibit  Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, cutting tools, measuring instruments, machine tools and mechanical softwares. Nataraj, DDMI, Japan, CNC Humanware Trainer regretted that many Technical institutes across the state were not well equipped with teaching and other tools in their colleges.The mela also has a job fare where more than 150 companies are expected to participate.
