A Delhi Police constable high on liquor who described Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as "god" and tried to force his way into his apartment in Ghaziabad has been arrested.
Police in Ghaziabad seized the constable Tuesday night for trying to get into the Girnar Tower where Kejriwal lives with his family.
The constable, who was later found to be drunk, was scaling the main gate of the apartment complex when he was nabbed by security personnel.
"He said he regarded Kejriwal as god. He was adamant (on meeting Kejriwal). We had no option but to arrest him despite knowing that he was a Delhi Police constable," said police officer Ran Vijay Singh.
