BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Government has requested the East Coast Railway (ECoR) to continue running of the special train from Bhubaneswar to Shirdi. In a letter to GM, ECoR, AK Vohra, Chief Secretary BK Patnaik said the Bhubaneswar-Sainagar Shirdi Special train is a very well patronised train and thousands from the State avail of its services. Besides, there is also a persistent demand to increase the train’s frequency. The train, at present, runs once a week on Friday. Patnaik said there are reports that the train service will be discontinued due to some technical problem. The ECoR, he hoped, would look into the demand of the State and take a favourable decision.
