New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (while pointing towards demonetisation) said that India is witnessing an economic transformation.
While addressing the Asian Business Leaders’ Conclave 2016 in Malaysia (via video conference), he said, “We are now moving towards a digital and cashless economy. I welcome all to invest in India”.
Government’s exemptions for use of old Rs.500 notes will end on December 15 midnight, not December 14 as reported by the media, Department of Economic Affairs tweeted on Wednesday. Raids continue unabated across the country, revealing large caches of unaccounted cash, much of it in new currency notes.
