Delhi court summons Yuvraj, mom
A local court issued summons to Yuvraj Singh and his mother for March 13 in a case of defamation and assault.

Gurgaon: A local court issued summons to cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his mother Shabnam Singh for March 13 in a case of defamation and assault on Monday.

Judicial Magistrate Rajrani Gupta issued the summons, directing both to be present in the court on March 13.

Complainant Neelam Mahajan has alleged that the cricketer assaulted her and her son, Yuvraj Mahajan at his birthday party in Gurgaon on December 12. She said Yuvraj had invited them for the party.

Mahajan has alleged that Yuvraj, his mother Shabnam and girlfriend Kim Sharma had assaulted and threatened her.

''When I went to rescue my son, Yuvraj's mother, his brother and nine others assaulted me,'' she in her complaint,

She also alleged that even after several hours, the local police did not register an FIR report against the cricketer.

Yuvraj Singh is recuperating after a knee injury and missed the Indian tour of South Africa earlier.
