BANGALORE: The tenth anniversary of Kannada Karavali Vedike will be held at Dr Rajkumar Kalakshethra in Rajajinagar at 8:30 am on December 11. Announcing this at a news conference here on Thursday, H Sitaramshetty, President, K Nagaraj Shetty, Honourary Secretary of the Vedike said Vijaynagar MLA M Krishnappa will inaugurate the decennial celebrations. Mahalakshmi Layout MLA Ne La Narendrababu will preside over the programme.Commissioner of the Department of Kannada and Culture Manu Baligar will release a souvenir ‘Karavali Kasturi’ in the programme.On this occasion, there will a group discussion in which journalist Balakrishna Puttige, K Shashikumar Kedlaya, A Srilatha will present papers and it will be presided over by Dr Kabbinale Bharadwaj.The valedictory programme will be held at 4:30 pm in which Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will participate.Santa Sri Bhadragiri Achyutdas, actress Jayamala, Shashidhar Udupa, J Crasta and journalist B M Haneef will be presented with ‘Karavali Siri’ awards.A variety of cultural programmes will be held. Ministers V S Acharya, R Ashok, S Sureshkumar, Krishna Palemar and Dr Mahesh Joshi will be present on the occasion, the organisers said.
