Couple commits suicide as families oppose their relationship

A couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a tree in Gadhia Hardopatti village in Ushait area in Badaun, the  police said on Friday. Anit Singh alias Baba (25) and Pinki (18), who were in a relationship, hanged themselves from the tree on Thursday evening, the police said.

The couple took the extreme step as their families were against the relationship, the police added.
