Country bombs seized

RAMANATHAPURAM: A police team recovered four country bombs from a house at Kovilankulam on Friday. According to police, Manickanathan of Kadaladi, under the influence of liquor, got into a fight with  Mahendran and Ganapathy. He then tried to hurl a country bomb on Ganapathy.   After the country bomb slipped from Manickanathan’s hand and exploded, leaving him with a few injuries, he fled from the spot. Kadaladi police filed a case and were on look out for Manickanathan. Manickanathan was arrested in the outskirts of Kadaladi. Investigations revealed Manickanathan had procured the bombs from Kannayiram who had procured them from Rajapalayam. The police are searching for the two men.
