New Delhi: In another case of high handedness of the police force in Jammu, a girl was allegedly raped by her lover, who is a policeman, and his two friends in a hotel in Poonch district.
According to the police, constable Imtiyaz brought the girl from Mendhar border belt to Poonch and then raped her in the hotel room on Tuesday night.
Police have arrested two hotel employees and Imtiyaz’s friends after a case was registered against them following the girl’s complain.
Imtiyaz fled from the hotel and is now on the run, police said adding a hunt has been launched to nab him.
This is not the first time that the police force is taking a beating for dereliction of duty.
In January this year, a Patna-based businessman had alleged that his wife was raped by a police official and that he himself was arrested on false charges.
