SHIMOGA: The Congress-led UPA government has been trying to fix non-Congress governments, especially the BJP state government, alleged Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.He was addressing the media here on Thursday, when he said that right from day one, the Centre was non-cooperative with the state on all issues.  On the state’s plea to the Centre for more power in view of the impending crisis in the state, Gowda  claimed that the Centre was shirking from its responsibilities. “State Congress leaders, who have  been making allegations against the state government, should clarify on the quantity of power to be supplied from the Central grid to Karnataka,” he averred.  “As the leader of opposition, Siddaramaiah should prevail upon the central leadership to provide additional power.” He chided the Centre for its step-motherly attitude, warning it of extreme opposition should the situation persist. The chief minister explained that the government was making efforts to buy power from other states, besides taking initiatives to install power plants.  Gowda sought to downplay the difference of opinion between him and state BJP president K S Eshwarappa on the state Cabinet expansion.  On acceptance of Sriramulu’s resignation, the CM said party leaders urged him to withdraw it, keeping in view interests of the party.
