Police have detained 4 BJP leaders including Muzaffarnagar riot-accused MLA Sangeet Som.

Moradabad: Moradabad is tense again after clashes between 2 communities over the installation of loudspeakers at a religious place.

Police have detained 4 BJP leaders including Muzaffarnagar riot-accused MLA Sangeet Som.

The BJP was planning to a hold a mahapanchayat in the city on Friday. However, police had detained BJP MLA Sangeet Som, who was on his way to Kanth. Som was later released on bail.

Three party MPs Kunwar Singh Tanwar, Satyapal Singh and Nepal Singh were also detained when they tried to defy the ban and hold a mahapanchayat.

The BJP leaders were later released on condition that they will stay away from the area and not create any furore.
