HYDERABAD: TRS on Wednesday demanded that the state government table a resolution, seeking creation of Telangana state, in the five-day winter session of the state Assembly beginning on Thursday.Meanwhile, the main opposition TDP said they want a thorough discussion on drought, price rise and corruption.The TDP and the TRS made their points known at the meeting of the Assembly Business Advisory Committee (BAC), chaired by speaker Nadendla Manohar, on the eve of the winter session.The winter session of the state legislative Assembly will be held for five days beginning Thursday. The House will also meet on Saturday and Sunday.The BAC meeting was attended by chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, ministers D Sridhar Babu, Dharmana Prasad Rao, government whip Kondru Murali, P Ashok Gajapati Raju, Gali Muddu Krishnamanaidu, Dh u l i p a l a Na r e n d r a Kumar,(all TDP) TRS legislature party leader E Rajendar, Virasat Rasool Khan (MIM), G Mallesh (CPI), Julakanti Rangareddy (CPM), Y Laxminarayana (BJP) and Jayaprakash Narayan (LSP) The House would meet on Thursday at 9 a.m. and after passing condolence resolution on Mahaboobnagar MLA Rajeshwar Reddy, would be adjourned.After the question hour, the House would discuss the prevailing drought situation on December 2. In the brief session the government would introduce 9 bills and several ordinances. The government business would be discussed in the House on December 3 in the evening session. Rest of the House agenda was not finalised at the BAC meeting. At the meeting the chief minister reportedly dismissed the opposition parties request for increasing the number of working days of the Assembly.He said there is no use of increasing the working days of the Assembly if the opposition parties cooperate with the government by facilitating useful and meaningful disucssion.He also said that government was committed to ensure that the Assembly would meet for 50 days in a year from the coming budget session.The government was ready to discuss all the public issues in the five-day session.Reacting to CPI MLA’s demand for discussion on FDI issue, Reddy said that if the opposition party moves a resolution on FDI the government would take up the issue. He also assured the MIM that if the speaker permits, he would not have any objection to a discussion on the attack on MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and the alleged illegal police cases on MIM activists.CPI and the BJP supported the TRS stand for passing a resolution on T issue.
