CM opens Hedge House

KOCHI: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated the Hedge House, the new corporate office of Hedge Group, at Mamangalam here on Monday. Thrikkakkara MLA Benny Behnan, Hedge managing director Alex K Babu, chief operating officer Bobby Jose and chief executive officer Bhuvanendran were present. Speaking at a press conference, Hedge managing director Alex K Babu said the financial house is planning a consolidation of outlets and client addition in 2012-13.  “We expect about 5-10 per cent increase in outlets,” he said adding that the group will be more focused on long term goals. “Within the short span, we could emerge as a serious player. Instead of being speculative, we give more prominence to long term plans,” he said. The firm has about 140 outlets across the country. With heavy investment in IT infrastructure, including a data centre, clients will get a real time trading experience, Alex said.
