New Delhi: The wait for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class X results is over. The CBSE class X results for the Delhi, Guwahati, Allahabad, Ajmer and Panchkula were announced on May 24. The results for the Chennai region were declared on May 21.

The pass percentage has been an impressive 98.19. The overall pass figure is about two per cent higher than the 2012 results. The pass percentage of girls stood at 98.48 per cent as compared to 97.98 per cent in case of boys.

According to a CBSE statement, the pass percentage in Chennai region at 99.45 was the highest in the country.

A total of 11,79,182 candidates were registered for class X examination in 2012, an increase of about 11 per cent over 2012.

Since 2011, CBSE class X examination is being coducted under the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)scheme and the results are reflected in grades.

The results are available on the website www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in, and www.cbse.nic.in.

Students can also get their results on their e-mail address by registering themselves on these websites. Besides, they can also get the results by dialing 011-24357276 or 011-28127030.

The class XII results are also expected to be declared this week.
