Clash at Essar, four injured

PARADIP: Tension prevailed at Essar Steel following clash between labourers and security personnel. There were some heated exchanges after a driver disobeyed the security personnel. The labourers alleged that the driver was assaulted and in retaliation, about 12 labourers attacked them with iron rods.As many as four security personnel were injured in the clash. They were taken to Paradip hospital.Group Clash In another incident, two groups, belonging to Kothi village, clashed near the campus of construction agency of IOCL on Wednesday over a contract issue.Five persons were reportedly injured and admitted to a local hospital. One of the injured, Deepak Ojha lodged a complaint with the police following which four persons were arrested. They were forwarded to the court on Thursday, Paradip Lock Police Station IIC Jyotiranjan Samantray said.
