HYDERABAD: Erstwhile PRP president K Chiranjeevi wants his pound of flesh in nomination of candidates for the ensuing byelections.Though Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar is yet to take a decision on petitions submitted by the Congress and PRP legislature parties for disqualification of its rebel MLAs, Chiranjeevi has started bargaining for his share of seats with the Congress leadership. If the speaker disqualifies Congress and PRP rebels, 17 Assembly seats fall vacant. When APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana met Chiranjeevi at the latter's residence on Saturday afternoon, the erstwhile PRP chief sought four seats for his loyalists. They include Narsapur for K Subbarayudu, Rajampet for G Ramaiah, Ramachandrapuram for Thota Trimurthulu and Ongole for Srinivas. However, the PCC chief offered only Rajampet seat to Chiranjeevi. The talks which are inconclusive, expected to continue in the coming days.Later in the evening, Chiranjeevi's loyalist MLA G Srinivasa Rao and MLC C Ramachandraiah met the APCC chief at Gandhi Bhavan and held talks on the ensuing byelections.Meanwhile, Panchayat Raj minister K Jana Reddy met Satyanarayana seeking his cooperation in getting appointments with the Central leaders for Telangana ministers during their visit to Delhi on December 19.
