Centre will bring Road Transport and Safety Bill, cashless treatment for road accident victims, says Modi
Modi mentioned some of the efforts undertaken by the people in various fields and also invited suggestions for his Independence Day speech on August 15.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reached out to people on a host of issues in his radio address 'Mann Ki Baat'. In the tenth edition, Modi raised concerns over the increase in the number of road accidents and said that government is taking all road safety measures.

"Considering various aspects of road safety, we will soon bring a Road Transport and Safety Bill. Another important initiative of government is cashless treatment policy for victims of road accident," said Modi.

Asking people to raise awareness among children about road safety, Modi said, "Shocked to know statistics about road accidents. Every minute one accident takes place and every 4 minute one person dies in road accidents. Apart the from government, it is also responsibility of family, parents to raise awareness among children about road safety."

On the 16th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Prime Ministers also reached out to soldiers but did not make any announcement on the One Rank One Pension scheme. War veterans, martyrs' families are protesting against the delay in the implementation of the One Rank One Pension.

Modi congratulated Indian Space Research Organisation over the successful launch of five UK satellites through PSLV C-28 and said, "India launched five heavy satellites of UK, through PSLV C 28. These are heaviest satellites launched by India so far. Science and Technology is DNA of Development. HRD Ministry launched scheme to promote scientific innovation called Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan."
