HYDERABAD: CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana on Monday met top officials in the Union home ministry and discussed various issues pertaining to the alleged illegal assets case of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.Though there was speculation that Lakshminarayana also met Union home minister P Chidambaram, highly placed sources confirmed to Express that the JD did not meet Chidambaram.Sources told Express that Lakshminarayana left for Delhi on Sunday. He briefed CBI director AP Singh and other senior officials about the progress made in the case of the young MP.Since the CBI will be filing its chargesheet in the case by April 2, the JD also discussed the content of the chargesheet with the senior CBI officials.Sources said that after briefing them, Lakshminarayana met top officials of the home ministry, which led to speculations that the arrest of Jagan Mohan Reddy was imminent. It is learnt that the CBI may summon the Kadapa MP anytime in April. He has already been called for questioning once but that did not yield any result as Jagan shifted the entire blame of any wrongdoing on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.Sources, however, said that the meetings focused only around the yetto- be-filed chargesheet and its contents. The CBI has so far arrested Jagan’s trusted aide V Vijay Sai Reddy, who has been named as accused No 2 out of the 74 persons listed as accused in the case
