At least three persons were killed and several others injured after two cars collided directly in Andhra Pradesh’s Devarapalli mandal on Tuesday.
The incident took place around 2 pm when an over speeding car, losing control, rammed into the opposite road and eventually collided head-on with another car, an India Today report said.

Around seven passengers were being ferried in one car, while four were present in the other, police said.
While three persons died, the other injured persons were shifted to the hospital for treatment, police said.
The police have registered a case and further investigation in this matter is underway.
Just yesterday, a car overturned after it hit a wild boar on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway, leaving three member of a family dead and five others injured.
On Monday, four persons were killed and six others were injured in two different accidents in Mandsaur and Sehore districts of Madhya Pradesh.
An SUV rammed into a stationary truck near Belari on Delhi-Mumbai highway under Sitamau police station limits in Mandsaur, while in Sehore, an SUV overturned on Bherunda-Gopalpur road.
Last month, five persons were killed and two others suffered injuries after two cars rammed into each other on the highway near Maktal in Telangana’s Narayanpet district.
One of the cars appeared to have tried to overtake another vehicle but crashed into a car coming from the opposite direction, police said.
In another major accident in December, several vehicles collided one after the other near Doddajala on the Bengaluru airport road in Karnataka.
Although no casualties were reported in the serial collision, few people sustained minor injuries.
