BSY bail hearing on May 25

BANGALORE: The Special CBI Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of the anticipatory bail applications filed by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family members in connection with the multi-crore mining scam case till May 25. During the hearing, the CBI counsel said the agency needed more time to study the applications filed by Yeddyurappa and his family members to file its objections.Agreeing to the CBI’s contention, Judge Shivalinge Gowda posted the matter to May 25, and directed the agency to file its objections by that date.Besides Yeddyurappa, his sons B S Vijayendra and B S Raghavendra, and his sonin- law Sohan Kumar also moved the court for anticipatory bail following CBI raids on their residences and offices in connection with the illegal mining case.
