Bryan brothers opened their bid for a fourth consecutive Grand Slam doubles title by beating Brazilians Marcelo Demoliner and Andre Sa 6-4, 6-4, 6-1
London: American twins Bob and Mike Bryan opened their bid for a fourth consecutive Grand Slam doubles title by beating Brazilians Marcelo Demoliner and Andre Sa 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 Friday at Wimbledon.
The Bryans are trying to become the first men's doubles team to win at least four major tournaments in a row since Australians Ken McGregor and Frank Sedgman had a run of seven straight in 1951-52.
In all, the Bryans have won a record 14 Grand Slam titles as a pairing, including two at Wimbledon.
They won their 90th career doubles title at the Queen's Club grass-court tuneup tournament in June.
