HYDERABAD: In a rare incident, Speaker N Manohar disconnected the microphones of Transport Minister Botcha Satyanarayana and Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu during Question Hour in the Assembly on Tuesday.While TDP MLAs protested in support of Naidu, the incident turned out to be an embarrassment tor the minister and PCC chief as none of his party MLAs came to his rescue.During the discussion on the restrictions being enforced on transportation of rice from the state to other parts of the country, the Speaker asked his staff to disconnect the microphone of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu when the latter did not conclude his speech and was going on explaining the farmer-friendly initiatives taken during his rule.Opposition party MLAs rushed towards the Chair demanding that an opportunity be given to their floor leader who was giving suggestions on farmer-friendly initiatives.
