The court after hearing arguments observed that there seems to be misuse of the money received from the Ford foundation and provisions of FCRA seem to have been violated.
Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Teesta Setalvad and her husband Javed Anand in a Foreign Contribution Regulations Act violation case.
The court after hearing arguments observed that there seems to be misuse of the money received from the Ford foundation and provisions of FCRA seem to have been violated.
However, the court also said that it doesn't find Teesta and Javed a threat to sovereignty and integrity of the state.
Court has directed Teesta to cooperate with investigation agencies and not to enter into criminal activity that would violate FCRA provision. She has been asked to inform Mumbai CBI before leaving the city.
