HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed among customers and staff of business establishments after a hoax call made by a prankster stating a bomb was planted at the Alto Trade Centre on Wednesday. The hoax call sent police into tizzy for a couple of hours.
Narayanaguda police rushed to the Alto Trade Centre in Himayathnagar after they received information that an unidentified person had made a call telling a bomb was planted in the building and it would go off at any time. Sniffer dogs and bomb squad teams swung into action and scanned throughout the huge complex for a couple of hours.R Raghunath, subinspector said a miscreant made the call to police station around 10.20 am and informed a bomb was planted at Alto Trade Centre. The bomb squad searched for more than an hour and confirmed explosives were not found.
