New Delhi: Osama bin Laden's son has been banned from entering Britain with his wife on the grounds that his presence would cause "considerable public concern".

Officials reportedly told Omar Osama bin Laden there is evidence that he is still loyal to his father.

Omar is appealing against the refusal, saying it's wrong to ban him from Britain on the basis of his parentage.

Omar and his British wife were married in Saudi Arabia last year but have been living in Egypt while waiting for the visa application to be processed.

Details are awaited.
