DHENKANAL: Six of the eight direct reduced iron (DRI) units and a 33 MW power plant of Bhusan Steel Limited (BSL) here were sealed by a team of Enforcement officials from the Factories and Boilers and the State Pollution Control Board on Monday. “The step was taken due to non-compliance of pollution control norms by the BSL management,” said Executive Magistrate Binod Kumar Jena. Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers Ramesh Chandra Behera was present. The move comes two days after the Assembly Committee on Environment, headed by Amar Prasad Satpathy, visited the plant.
