Bangalore forensic lab official sacked

Bangalore: The Karnataka government has decided to dismiss Dr S Malini, the controversial assistant director of the forensic science lab in Bangalore over alleged irregularities.

This is after the Karnataka police found she had forged her age to get the job. She was also accused of leaking information to the media.

Malini had earlier faced charges of tampering with evidence in the sister Abhaya murder case in Kerala.

The decision to sack her was announced in the legislative council by state home minister V S Acharya.

Dr. Malini is a highly rated Narco analyst who has involved in the investigations into the Malegaon blasts, the Hyderabad Mecca Masjid blasts and Arushi Talwar murder case and also the Telgi case
