A local court has rejected the bail plea of a riot accused in connection with a triple murder case in Muzaffarnagar.
District and Sessions Judge Vijai Laxmi on Thursday rejected the bail plea of the accused Ravinder, saying there is no case of bail.
Three youths identified as Maherban, Amroz and Shahalem were murdered by the rioters at Mohadpur Raisingh village in the district on October 30, 2013.
Police had registered a case against 15 people and arrested eight persons in connection with the case.
Muzaffarnagar and neighbouring districts including Shamli in western Uttar Pradesh had witnessed communal riots in September last year that left over 60 people dead and thousands of people displaced.
