Asiad: India take 2 silvers, bronze

Doha: It was a field day for the Indian track and field athletes at the Asian Games in Doha on Saturday, as the medals tally was boosted by two silver medals and a bronze.

First it was Santhi Soundarajan who won the silver medal in the women's 800m race at the Asian Games.

The good news seemed to have reverberated around the tracks as Soma Biswas won silver in the women's heptathlon, while J J Shobha won the bronze in the same event.
