A festival of urban neighbourhoods

BANGALORE: In an effort to sustain united  neighbourhoods in the city, a group of residents from Malleswaram celebrated the togetherness of their community. Titled ‘Malleswaram Moves’, the festival kick-started at the Malleswaram Railway Station in the city. “We celebrate urban culture and neighbourhood community building. The project is a part of Malleswaram accessibility Project, and is being organised in collaboration with several organisations and individuals,” said the organisers. The event was inaugurated with a performance by the STEM Dance Kampani.With many cultural shows lined up at the festival, the community would also conduct a socio-cultural cycle tour and a walk, along with theatre performances by Attakalari dancers, neighbourhood diaries film screenings, quiz contests, panel interaction with experts and  music events.
