MYSORE: In order to enable under-privileged people residing in rural and remote areas of the state to take part in the Dasara festivities, the ‘Dasara Darshana’ is being organised where persons from economically weaker sections will be brought to the city to witness the festival.The first batch of people will be welcomed in front of Kote Anjaneya Temple on September 29, informed Ravishankar, chairman of the Dasara Darshan Committee.The committee has identified 13,365 below poverty line (BPL) residents residing in Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar who will be brought to Mysore during Dasara.KSRTC will provide 243 buses for the purpose and has issued 13,365 concessional passes valued at Rs. 50 each.The beneficiaries will be taken to Chamundi Hill, Mysore Zoo and Palace, Raitha Dasara and other places from September 29 to October 4.From September 29 to October 1, buses will be sent to the 7 taluks of Mysore district to pick up the identified beneficiaries.On the same day, people from 8 taluks of Hassan district will be taken to Mysore.From October 2 to 4, beneficiaries of 7 taluks of Mandya district will visit the city.People from Madikeri, Somavarapet and Virajpet taluk will be in Mysore from October 2 to 4, as will people from Chamarajanagar district.
