CHENNAI: Members of Youth Against Corruption courted arrest after they laid siege to the residence of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, here on Wednesday.The association demanded that Chidambaram should be arrested for his alleged role in allocation of 2G Spectrum.The forum levelled a series of allegations pertaining to the Spectrum allocation, in a demo held in front of Memorial Hall.Addressing the gathering, Subramanian Swamy, president, Janata Party, explained how Rs 60,000 crore of corruption money earned through the allocation of Spectrum was distributed across the Country.After staging the demo, protestors led by N Ravikumar, national co-convener, YAC, Rajkumar, State co-convener, Santhosh Reddy, Karnataka state co-convenor, YAC members including Gopal, Senthil and Jaiganesh, gheraoed the residence of Chidambaram in Nungambakkam and were subsequently arrested by the Police. According to police sources, as many as 41 persons were arrested on charges of unlawful assembly under section 148 CrPC and a case was registered.
