A petty argument between two neighbours over chicken in Hyderabad’s Tukaram Area led to one of them allegedly killing the other person.
The deceased identified as, Ajay Kamble was stabbed by a 42-year-old neighbour, Srinivas Chary, a cable TV technician on Monday, reported Times of India, adding that the accused has now been taken into custody.
Kamble’s wife Priyanka informed police that her 23-year-old husband had brought tea from a hotel and they decided to have it at a friend’s house, however, things took a bitter turn when she saw Chary eating uncooked chicken.
She suggested Chary to eat chicken after cooking it properly, but he started to abuse her with cuss words and came forward to hit her which angered Ajay.
When Ajay tried to rescue her, Chary stabbed him with a knife in his chest and died on the spot. Priyanka also suffered an injury on her right hand finger while trying to rescue Ajay.
Priyanka told the police that she started to scream after the incident. Alarmed by her voice, her neighbors arrived at the spot and rushed Ajay to the Gandhi hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police have registered a case against Chary under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (insult to modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
In another crime reported from Hyderabad, an auto driver was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death on suspicion of infidelity. The incident was reported at the two-bedroom government-owned flat at JNNURM Colony in Hyderabad’s Abdullapurmet on Tuesday morning.
The accused, identified as Vijay, took his 41-year-old wife, Pushpalatha, to his sister’s newly allotted vacant 2BHK house on the pretext of cleaning it.
There, Vijay reportedly attacked Pushpalatha with a knife and stabbed her to death. He then severed her head and kept it aside in the flat, a report by Times of India said quoting police.
After committing the crime, Vijay exited the flat in blood-stained clothes shocking locals, who raised an alarm.
