Telugu film Bro: The Avatar, starring Pawan Kalyan, was released at the cinema halls on July 28. It opened up to poor reviews from the audience. Critics pointed to the weak narration and over-the-top comedy in the film. The film is already available for OTT streaming on Netflix, in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. Now, Bro will premiere on television as well, on Zee Telugu on October 15, 2023 at 6 PM.
Zee Telugu has come up with an official announcement regarding the release of this film. Bro is the official remake of the Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham, which is a remake of the Danish film What Goes Around. Bro revolves around Markandeyulu (Sai Dharam Tej), a busy man whose priority is work, and he does not have time for others’ emotions or opinions. The film takes a turn when Markandeyulu dies in an accident; then, he gets to meet the Time God/ Titan (Pawan Kalyan). Titan gives 90 days to Markandeyulu as a second chance to change things. What Markandeyulu does to change things after receiving a second chance from Titan forms the core premise of the film. Bro’s cast comprises actors like Urvashi Rautela, Samuthirakani, Ketika Sharma, Vennela Kishore, and others. Samuthirakani has directed this film.
Pawan Kalyan has failed to secure box-office success for any of his films released over a long time. Fans are also disappointed with this. They are also miffed that he is only acting in remakes of other films. According to reports, he has tried to take a safer route (by doing remakes), only after the release of his film Agnyaathavaasi – Prince in Exile. It is because, reportedly, remakes have fewer risks of failing at the box office. Currently, among the films Pawan Kalyan has in the pipeline, only Hari Hara Veera Mallu is based on an original theme.
