The post production work for Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan is currently underway in full swing. The period action drama has been hogging attention, ever since the announcement of the project. Recently, Vikram’s dramatic physical transformation for his role grabbed eyeballs. Malavika Mohanan is also playing an important role in this Pa Ranjith-directorial. Since it is set during the colonial period, production was a cumbersome process. Malavika recently shared a glimpse from one of the post production stages that she dreads the most, which is dubbing. She had posted a picture of herself entering the dubbing studio and captioned it, “Now for the most scary part of the filmmaking process for me …dubbing. Can someone please come and hold my hand while I do it please?” The witty and humorous caption had amused fans, many of whom said they were ready to lend a helping hand to her.

It looks like in spite of all the jitters that she felt, Malavika did a splendid job while dubbing, without any helping hands. You do not need to take our word for it, as the actress herself has just dropped a behind-the-scenes video from the dubbing studio. She appears to be dubbing for an action scene in the particular portion that she has shared. Malavika Mohanan does not utter a single word in the clip, instead she gasps, pants and lets out war cries.

Earlier, English actor Daniel Caltagirone, known for his roles in Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and The Pianist, who plays an integral role in Thangalaan had also finished dubbing his portion for the film. Thangalaan is set in India during the British colonial era. It tells the story of the tribal leader Thangalaan’s heroic battle against the British after they attempt to take their territory. The film is slated to release on January 26, 2024.
