Hyderabad Crowd Goes Crazy Over David Warner's Dance on 'Srivalli' and 'Pushpa Celebration'; Watch Video

Five-time world champions Australia registered a narrow victory against Pakistan in their final warm-up game ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup on Tuesday in Hyderabad. The Pat Cummins-led side posted a colossal 351/7 in 50 overs, riding on the knocks of Glenn Maxwell (77 off 71) and Cameron Green (50* off 40). In reply, Babar Azam scored 90 off 59 balls while Iftikhar Ahmed (83) and Mohammad Nawaz (50) made impressive contributions but they weren’t enough to avoid a 16-run defeat.

Apart from Australia’s all-round performance, it was David Warner who stole the show with his dance moves. The Australian batter is an ardent fan of Telugu movies and superstar Allu Arjun.

And since Warner was playing in Hyderabad, how could resist himself from showing his dance moves on the songs of the popular movie – ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

The fans went gaga after seeing Warner doing the hook step of the ‘Srivalli’ song which was played during the match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

And not just that, he did the ‘Pushpa’ celebration after taking a catch to dismiss Abdullah Shafique in the 12th over off Sean Abbott’s bowling.

In another video that went viral on social media, Warner could be seen grooving to a song near the boundary line.

Warner, who did not bat in the first warm-up against the Netherlands, entertained the Hyderabad crowd with his fluent hitting which included two sixes off Rauf.

Earlier, Maxwell was at his marauding best after coming from an ankle injury that augurs well for him and his team going into the World Cup opener against India on October 8.

Known for his audacious strokeplay, Maxwell’s six off reverse sweep on Nawaz’s bowling stood out.

Skipper Pat Cummins, Sean Abbott and Mitchell Starc bowled six overs each. Australia used as many as eight bowling options including Steve Smith and Warner, who was hammered for 41 runs in two overs.
