Troubleshooting Afterpay
Make sure your device supports digital wallet. If you have an older device or software version, you may not have the capability to add cards.
Check if the store accepts Afterpay. You may be trying to pay a retailer that doesn't take Afterpay. To see which stores near you accept Afterpay, visit the Afterpay website.
Verify your account. You may need to provide your phone number, card details, or other information to verify your identity. Additionally, if your payment methods have not been verified, your transactions may decline.
Ask the cashier to ring up your card as a debit card. If you're being asked for a PIN or CVV, the cashier most likely selected the "credit card" payment option. To fix this, retry the transaction as a "debit card".
Wait for your eligibility to change. If you can't use your Afterpay Card in-store, you may need to wait until you establish a payment history with Afterpay. You can do this by using Afterpay with other retailers online.
