Using SimPE (Windows)
Be aware that Bella will not have any memories or relationships with other Sims. After completing this method, Bella will not have any memories of her family or any other Sims in Pleasantview, and will only be acquaintances with Mortimer Goth.
Download and install SimPE. SimPE is free software that can be used to view the .package files. Open http://modthesims.info/d/30839/simpe-latest-version-0-75f.html in a web browser. Click the tab that says Files (2). It's next to the "Description" tab. Click on the link that says SimPe_075f_qa.7z. You will download a file titled MTS_Quaxi_1860519_SimPe_075f_qa.7z. Extract the file from the .7z using 7zip. Right-click the file and choose Extract to MTS_Quaxi_1860519_SimPe_075f_qa. A new folder will appear. Open the folder, find SimPE.exe, and double-click it to open it.
Open Pleasantview in SimPE. In the upper left corner of SimPE, click on Tools. Hover over Neighborhood, click Neighborhood Browser, and select Pleasantview. It will take a few moments to load all the files.
Click the button that says Plugin View. It's in the bottom left-hand corner of SimPE and has a small blue square with a pencil. This will enable you to view and edit the needed information.
Find Bella in Sim Description. Click on Sim Description (SDSC) in the Resource Tree on the left-hand side of SimPE, and find "Bella Goth" in the center window. Click on her name to open her information in the lower panel. (You can click on Name to alphabetize the list.)
Open the "Other" tab. It's the tab in the plugin view between "Skills" and "University".
Link Bella's character file. Under the "Misc" window in the Other tab, there will be a string that says "Unlinked: 0x0001". This means her character file isn't linked to a Sim. Change 0x0001 to 0x0000 to link her character file. Save your changes using the Save icon at the top left of SimPE, or click Yes when asked to commit your changes.
Open Bella's memories. Click on the "More..." tab in the plugin view; a list of options will come up. Click on Open Memories. You will be brought to the Neighborhood/Memory (NGBH) file and see Bella's memories.
Remove the I am dead token under her list of memories. In Bella's memories, there is a dead token that says [invisible] Token - I am dead. Right-click on it and select Cascade Delete Selection. This will delete the token and enable you to bring Bella back in-game.
Save your changes. Press the Save icon at the top left of the screen, or click the X in the upper right-hand corner of SimPE to close it; you will be asked whether you want to commit your changes. Select Yes. Once you've saved your changes, exit SimPE.
Open your game. Enter the Goth household in Pleasantview.
Enable testingcheats. Press Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C, type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, and hit ↵ Enter.
Spawn the Tombstone of L & D. Hold down ⇧ Shift and click on a Sim, and choose Spawn.... In the Spawn menu, click on Tombstone of L & D. A tombstone will appear next to your Sim.
Add Bella to the family. Click on the Tombstone of L & D, click on Add Neighbor to Family..., and choose Bella. Bella will be added to the family immediately.
Enjoy having Bella Goth back with her family!
Using Tarlia's Clean Templates
Access https://meetmetotheriver.tumblr.com/post/179020464788/clean-pleasantview-templates-rerelease-fixed. User meetme2theriver created a cleaned-up version of Pleasantview that, among other things, has Bella wander the streets as a townie.
Click on the Main Hood version that you want. If you want the typical Pleasantview townies (like Goopy GilsCarbo) to be in the neighborhood, click Main Hood WITH Townies. If you want to generate your own townies or have fewer character files in the folder, click Main Hood WITHOUT Townies. You'll be redirected to Sim File Share. If you can't access Tumblr, the version with townies is located at https://www.simfileshare.net/download/789469/. The version without townies is at https://www.simfileshare.net/download/789470/.
Click the Download button. It's the blue button underneath MeetMe_CleanPleasantview_Main_WithTownies.7z. The download button will turn green and download the file. If you're downloading the version without townies, the Download button will be underneath MeetMe_CleanPleasantview_Main_WithoutTownies.7z
Unzip the file. You will need to install an external program to unzip the file, since it's not natively supported by Windows or Mac. On Windows, use 7zip to uncompress the file. Right-click on the .7z file and choose Extract here. A folder named N001 will appear. On Mac, use The Unarchiver. Double-click the file to unzip it. A folder named N001 will appear.
Move the new N001 to your Neighborhoods folder. Open File Explorer Windows File Explorer. Open Documents. Open EA Games. Open The Sims 2. Open Neighborhoods. Move the N001 folder into the Neighborhoods folder. If you haven't deleted the previous N001 in the Neighborhoods folder, you will get a popup alerting you that the files have the same names. Click Replace the files in the destination to overwrite the old files. (If you've played Pleasantview previously, you will lose your save data.)Mac Players: Open Finder, click on "Go" in the toolbar at the top of your screen, hold down ⌥ Option, and click "Library". From there, the file directory is Containers > com.aspyr.sims2.appstore > Data > Library > Application Support > Aspyr > The Sims 2 > Neighborhoods.
Start up your game. Enter any household you choose. (If you want to reunite her with the Goths, enter the Goth household.)
Enable testingcheats. Press Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C, type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, and hit ↵ Enter.
Spawn the Tombstone of L & D. Hold down ⇧ Shift and click on a Sim, and choose Spawn.... In the Spawn menu, click on Tombstone of L & D. A tombstone will appear next to your Sim.
Add Bella to the family. Click on the Tombstone of L & D, click on Add Neighbor to Family..., and choose Bella. Bella will be added to the family immediately.
