The former head coach of the Indian Cricket team, Rahul Dravid was spotted watching the Indian Hockey team at the Olympics 2024 which took place at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium 1 in Paris, France on Monday.

The national hockey team led by Harmanpreet Singh were in for a tough battle against the Argentina side as the two sides fought it out for a 1-1 draw in the Group B fixture.

Dravid had earlier interacted with the American former football centre, Jason Kelce of the Philadephia Eagles in the National Football League.

Following the interaction he also gave the national hockey team a special message, “Chak de India”, along with his signature on the wall.
The Indian hockey team were in for a tough contest against the Argentinian side as the opponent scored in the 22nd minute with the forward Lucas Martinez giving Argentina the lead.

However, the ever-reliant Harmanpreet Singh managed to give India the equaliser thanks to the penalty corner to help India take the draw in the Pool B fixture.
The Indian team are currently third in their respective group with a total of four points collected from today’s draw and the win against New Zealand two days ago.
Their remaining games will be up against the likes of Ireland, Belgium and Australia which will take place on July 30, August 1 and August 2 respectively.

The Indian team will hope that the presence of Dravid in the stands will provide them the luck they need to get through their remaining games and possibly bring home a medal which would bring laurels to the nation.
The Indian Men’s team is arguably the most successful side in Hockey in the history of the Olympics and they will hope that they can bring in yet another gold as they aim to end the legendary career of their star goalkeeper, P Sreejesh on a high.
