FIFA World Cup-winning French striker Kylian Mbappe once again grabbed the headlines after rumours of him joining Real Madrid started doing the rounds. With five months remaining on his current contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Mbappe’s potential switch to Real Madrid has gone on to dominate French football. As per AFP, both ESPN and the ‘Parisien’ daily newspaper reported, without naming their source, that Mbappe would leave PSG in a bid to join Real Madrid. Journalist Tomas Roncero recently appeared on La Cadena SER to share his views on this matter. Roncero called the PSG superstar “the most insufferable player” in the history of Real Madrid.
“Whatever he does, he is already the most insufferable player in Real Madrid’s history. It’s really tedious. He must admit that he made a mistake in coming here. The debt that he owes to Real Madrid is almost impossible to pay,” Tomas Roncero said (via GFFN), as per Sportskeeda.
“He must own up to his error and know that money is not the most important thing. Everything leads us to believe that he won’t extend in Paris. If he does, it’ll be really Machiavellian,” he added.
Kylian Mbappe himself had talked about his much-talked-about move to Real Madrid earlier this year in January. The 25-year-old had clarified that he had not made his decision. “I haven’t made my decision, I haven’t made my choice. But we have an agreement with the president (Al-Khelaifi), which means that all parties are protected,” the 25-year-old told French television, as per AFP.
Kylian Mbappe earns around 70 million euros (75.6 million dollars) a year and as a free agent he will succeed in securing a mega signing on fee on top of a potential salary increase. PSG coach Luis Enrique revealed that Mbappe had not disclosed anything on this matter to him personally.
Kylian Mbappe has so far had an impressive outing in the current domestic league having found the back of the net 20 times for PSG. Mbappe also has four assists under his belt in the ongoing Ligue 1 season. Mbappe’s possible move to Real Madrid will undoubtedly strengthen the Spanish giants’ attacking unit. But there is still no clarity on Mbappe’s future in club football.
