Did Barcelona Receive an Offer for Vitor Roque from Saudi Arabia? Here is What We Know So Far
Vitor Roque had joined Barcelona from Athletico Paranaense earlier in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly looking to offload a few players during the summer transfer window. One of them is Vitor Roque, who reportedly is not in the scheme of things under the newly appointed manager Hansi Flick. It has been learnt that Barcelona are against releasing the youngster on loan as the value does not match their demand. Amid growing speculations over Roque’s future, the Catalan giants have reportedly received a solid offer for Roque from Saudi Arabia, according to a report by Sport. The outlet claimed that Barcelona had already asked the 19-year-old forward to find a new destination this summer. The club wants to generate funds by the sale of Roque. The interested club from Saudi Arabia, however, has failed to convince the Barcelona hierarchy with their initial bid for the young attacker.

Like Barcelona, Vitor Roque and his representative are reportedly not interested in a loan move. They feel the player may find it difficult to recapture his place in the squad in future. According to Barca Universal, the club’s sporting director Deco and manager Hansi Flick will take the final call regarding Roque’s future.

Barcelona have a crowded forward line for the upcoming season. Following the recent Euro 2024 triumph, Nico Williams will likely get a spot in the playing XI. In this situation, Barcelona want Vitor Roque to flourish at a new club which would offer him first-team action. The Brazilian, however, is not in a hurry to part ways with his current club but his decision may very well change in January next year.

Earlier, Barca Universal reported that, according to Gianluigi Longari, Barcelona were planning to keep Vitor Roque in the squad, at least till the end of the pre-season tour to the United States. Some top European clubs like Lazio and FC Porto were reportedly keen on signing the teenager this summer.

Vitor Roque joined Barcelona from Athletico Paranaense earlier in the January transfer window. He signed a seven-year contract worth around €30 million. The deal also included €30 million in various add-ons. Roque featured in 16 matches for Barcelona last season and scored two goals.
